The Ethiopian Bible is significantly larger than Western Bibles (Protestant 66 books, Catholic 73 books):
A "verified" Spanish translation must account for these texts. Many commercial Spanish Bibles labeled "Apocrypha" or "Deuterocanonical" only include the Catholic set (Tobit, Judith, Maccabees). A true Biblia Ortodoxa Etíope must include Enoch and Jubilees. Consequently, the majority of "Ethiopian" Bibles currently sold in Spanish markets are often incomplete, usually consisting only of the Standard 66 books with perhaps the Catholic Deuterocanonicals added, lacking the distinctively Ethiopian books.
The translation avoids archaic "thee/thou" forms. It uses modern neutral Spanish (e.g., Yahveh instead of Jehová ; Cristo standard). The syntax is fluid for Latin American and Spanish readers.
