The Pa2X has a sound engine that is distinct from the newer EDS-X engines found in later models. Its electric pianos and organs have a certain grit and warmth that many players prefer. Furthermore, the "FSX" keyboard action on the Pa2X (specifically the Pro model) is widely regarded as one of the best semi-weighted actions Korg ever made. It is responsive enough for piano parts but springy enough for organ glissandos.
