Is Khan | Hdhub4u My Name
This paper examines the intersection of online piracy and mainstream Hindi cinema through the lens of the pirated distribution of Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan (2010) on the unauthorized platform HDhub4u. It explores how piracy platforms affect film economics, cultural accessibility, and legal enforcement in India. By analyzing the film’s themes, its legal distribution challenges, and the operational model of HDhub4u, the paper argues that while piracy undermines revenue, it also extends the cultural reach of socially engaged cinema in regions with limited legal access. The study concludes with recommendations for anti-piracy strategies that balance enforcement with accessibility.
